Error Initializing Opera

I upgraded to Opera 9 at work (where I don't have full privilege), and
now when I try starting Opera, all I get is a window saying "Error
Initializing Opera".


Should I avoid upgrading it at home as well?   Have I lost Opera for
good at work?
