I understand that with M2 one cannot send email using Rich

HTML and Rich Text email are evil.
What exactly is your definition of "evil?" It certainly is not
the standard definition that is attributed to hateful
intentions/behaviors. One example of evil is rape. To
attribute such trivial matters as HTML/RTF email as being
"evil" is to grossly make commonplace the term "evil" and it
actually does damage to the language insofar as accurate
articulation/description is lost due to making the word "evil"
of dubious definition.
HTML and Rich Text email are "evil".

Ha! ha! Have it your way, then! I tried. :)
