lol you're right about IE crashing.
In my experience, many people like to work with a clean desk which
means they close windows as soon as I they are done using them. For
those people, it's a pain to have to keep clicking a link to reference
to.
Also, what if you are having a back-and-forth discussion with multiple
clients at the same time? Now it's not so easy to alt-tab to the right
browser page from the right email. In fact, it's downright frustrating.
