Is there a way to force a new page to open using the same tab?
Right click and select 'Open' (or bring up the context menu and press 'O').
I would like an easier way to do this myself but I can't work out how to
add it to my keyboard setup. I tried assigning 'Open' and then 'Open link'
(which is what the right click menu uses) to 'Enter alt shift' but when I
Alt+Shift+Click these links still open a new tab.
I would like the 'reuse existing page' preference to have a third option
to force all links to load in the same tab unless the user chooses to open
a new one (with Shift+Click etc). I think 'reuse existing page' doesn't
make much sense to many of the casual users Opera is targeting these days
so how about a drop down list with:
- Allow document links to open new pages (default)
- Always open document links in existing page
- Always open document links in new pages
With Opera's instant redrawing of previous pages, opening new pages can be
a nuisance, especially if you're on a page of links that all open new tabs.
