I like the 'Plain Gray Wrapper' skins myself, maybe you found these? You
can get them with Opera 5 (Opera 6 Classic) or the Opera 6 (blue) icons.

Opera 6 Classic Reactivation Native. :)

'Tools > Appearance > Skin' in Opera 8, or 'Tools > Preferences > Skin'
in
Opera 7.5x has an option to scale the icon size.
Yes I saw that but when you increase the size, they start to fade out.
:(
The way it was initially in 7 ... there was an item in the right-click
menu named "Large images", that was the default for the main bar but could
be enabled on any toolbar. In Opera 8, this option is now off for all
toolbars, and is now in Customize, Toolbars. Provided the skin includes
large icons, the Standard and Windows skins do not (that's why it is now
off by default). Try that: Right-click, Customize, Toolbars and check
Large images. Then if desired just click on another toolbar and change
that too.
