I've got a weird problem with my Opera 8.01, build 7642.
When I'm downloading a file from a regular link the download stops as
soon as I close the tab from which the file was linked.
For example: I go to
<http://source.rfc822.org/pub/mirror/releases.ubuntu.com/5.04/> and
click on "Intel x86 install CD".
It starts downloading, but as soon as I close the tab the download
stops and I've got to hit "resume".
It looks like the .iso content is being delivered as MIME type
"text/plain"
from the server. As such, the download wants to replace the current page
(at least here when I click the links), since I have text/plain to "Open
with Opera". If/when the page closes, the download terminates.
As a work-around, right-click on the links, select "Save target as..." to
download/save the file locally.

Actually, halting when closing the tab is a known bug in 8.0 and 8.01, it
is fixed in the current beta version. In other words, 8.02 should fix this
and be available shortly.
