Hi,
How can I remove the Opera icon from the system tray (Windows XP SP2,
Opera 9.5). I can't find the setting to change among the preferences.
Opera shows the icon there if you have a mail, newsgroups or chat
account set up. Windows XP can hide such icons, right-click an empty
part of the system tray to start managing it. You can also use a
commandline option in the shortcut you use to start Opera, to make sure
Opera doesn't create a system tray icon:
"C:\Program Files\Opera\opera.exe" /notrayicon
I'm afraid there is no simpler way to get rid of it.
That's simple enough. Thanks!
Well, tried the change to the shortcut with 9.50 and Vista Home Premium.
The trayicon is still there after a shutdown/restart of Opera. Still shows
in the notification area. Any ideas why it doesn't work here?
