Thank you for the test account. The problem is that the server is not
using the correct format for UIDL responses. According to RFC 1939
(http://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc1939#page-12):

In order to simplify parsing, all POP3 servers are required to
        use a certain format for unique-id listings. A unique-id
listing consists of the message-number of the message,
followed by a single space and the unique-id of the message.
No information follows the unique-id in the unique-id listing.

However, Bell South's POP server is giving the following UIDL
response:

15:04:06 POP OUT: UIDL

15:04:06 POP IN: +OK 4 messages (22621)
1 20080123193739M0400irq6ae000001
2 20080211202727M03007dcqae000002
3 20080225205920M0300agtd9e000003
4 20080507105439M0400lkdb4e000004

Note the three spaces between the message-number and unique-id. We
will fix the issue, but would appreciate it if you would contact Bell
South about this problem.

Tim, My email from Bellsouth.net still does not download in 9981. The status area continues to be 'Synchronizing'. Reloading 9903 retrieves the email without any problems. Your test account still exists.
