+0200:
In October I filed a bug report about the following issue:
My online banking site (www.abnamro.nl) checks for numeric input in a
form field for the amount of money to transfer.
They do so with javascript, by adding a monitor to a form field that
checks whether the input is numeric.
Kestrel (build 4492 Mac OS X) stricly only allows numeric keys, i.e., no
more arrow keys, tab, backspace and other functional keys are processed,
because they are not numeric.
Is this going to be fixed in the near future?
I think a fundamental question here is whether Opera acts the same as IE
and Firefox. Does it? Then it will most certainly not be fixed. If it does
not, Opera might do key handling in Javascript a bit differently than the
mainstream browsers which is something that should preferably be fixed.
Please indicate whether this is the case.
(I also think it is difficult for Opera to fix such issues, as you can
only enter said page if you have an ABN account... Banking sites are not
exactly the kind of services you can easily get a test account for.)
