Opening large .html files

Opening a 2.4M html file freezes Opera for about 10 secs with a  
2500+ processor.
Trying to print that file (from within Opera) renders computer unusable  
for about a half an hour :P

This really got me thinking and switched to firefox for testing (FYI I'm  
not a firefox fan). The results: opening the file is smooth, printing is a  
charm.
