I think I figured out what the problem is with the latter messages  
appearing before the earlier messages.  I normally have the messages  
sorted by date with the newest messages at the top.  Opera seems to prefer  
it with the newest messages at the bottom.  As soon as I changed the  
sorting to put the newest messages at the bottom, the problem straightened  
itself out.
