Ramesh,
I contine with this saga. I manually uninstalled all Norton registry keys
and software. I re-started the PC and then did the comprehensive WMI rebuilt
method, re-started and then I got the same message: "can't collect
information... etc...".
But now I have a different error in the Event Viewer. Now I get a DCOM
error ID 10010, the server {A1F4E726-BCF1-11D1-BF92-00700813D811} did not
register with DCOm within the reqired timeout. That server key I believe is
for WIA Device Manager...?
Also, when I try to open My Computer, it takes some time before it displays
the information. Does this mean there is a problem with device
configuration. I checked the System Properties/Hardrware/DeviceManger and
there is no error in the configuration shown.
Any ideas what I can do next.???? Thanks for the help.
