HI all:
I have a particular windows application, written in visual studio 7.0
and running under windows 2000 that has suddenly developed the nasty
habit of terminating without warning and/or interacton of part of the
user. The program manages a machine designed to optimize the use of
lumber. Unlike other types of outages, this behavior exhibits no error
messages or any other indication of an impeding problem. Internal
debug messages fail to lend a clue as to what causes this problem. For
a normal 8 hour shift, the average is 2 program stoppages per day. The
problem began to manefest itself about 8 days after the program began
operating. Since the firest outage, it now occures several times per
day. So i was wondering if anyone out there has any information that
would be helpful to get to the root cause of this problem.
thanks
