How can I stop a Windows update download

Subject: How can I stop a Windows update download

Newsgroups: microsoft.public.windowsupdate 
The Windows 2000 autoupdate prompt me if I wanted to update.  I said "yes" 
and now it's downloading some huge file that's taking a long time to 
download.  I want to stop this download.  I tried to reboot but the file 
keeps downloading.  

How can I stop this download?
