When you say "manipulate" a job, do you mean when you try to resume the job
or do you also get this error when you try to set any of the properties of
the job? BITS needs the owner of the job to be logged on in order to
transfer the files included in the job. Try logging off and then logging on
without restarting the computer. If this doesn't work, you'll need to turn
BITS logging on, reproduce the results, and send me the log files. Previous
postings show how to turn on logging. If you can't find one, let me know and
I'll forward you the steps.
