Re: Start Notification Instance Automatically
Sorry for the late reply on this.
Adding a dependency on the MSSQLSERVICE did not work even if I set the
service start type to automatic. The service does not start up when the
machine starts. I have to yet look into the creation of a script which
will run when my machine boots up.
You said "I can't say that I've experienced this problem myself ...".
What do you mean by this? Do the notification services that you create
start up automatically?
Even in Shyam's book, there are some examples where he says, if you
notification service is not started start it by using the net start
command. I'm guessing that what he means by this is that notifications
services (for sql server 2000) are not setup to start automatically.
Let me know.
