We're looking at developing a system in SQL 2000 utilising NS. It
works fine in our development and QA setup which are both 32-bit

However, in a couple of months i'm going to need to migrate to our main
production servers (clustered Itanium) and need to know that NS wont be
a problem, I know that it makes use of extended DLL's and we've hit
problems in the past with IA64 hardware not being able to use 32-bit

I suppose what i'm really wanting is an idea of whether it's possible
to get NS installed and working properly on IA64 hardware. As if so
then are there any pitfalls that we need to watch out for.

If anyone has any ideas about this, or if you've already done something
similar then please get in touch. I know that it will no doubt work in
2005 but we're a good 12 months away from being able to migrate our
systems across so there's not much point suggesting that (hope i dont
sound too condescending, it's just i've heard that suggestion so many
times before about other things)
