Hello Joe,

Super. Thanks for the feedback.

Hi Pete -

I'm not familiar with the Notification Workflow Solution Accelerator
application so I cannot offer much assistance there.

I can tell you that SQLNS is cluster aware so at least from that
perspective you should be fine.

One point of clarification: the NSMain database is the instance
database and it contains subscriber and subscriber device information
whereas the application database,
NotificationWorkflowNotificationWorkflowApp in your case I believe,
contains the subscription, event, and notification information.

Have you created subscriptions that match the events you're
collecting?

Let me provide additional information that may assist.

In the event someone participating in this group is familiar with the
Notification Workflow Solution Accelerator application, I see lots of
activity to the NotificationWorkflowNotificationWorkflowApp database
(which means event data is being pulled across from Onepoint), but no
activity whatsoever (even at a filesystem level) to
NotificationWorkflowNSMain, which holds all the subscriber and
subscription data. This is further supported by the
NS$NotificationWorkflow performance counters, which show the Quanta
processed counter incrementing every 15 seconds, but still shows 0
subscribers and 0 subscriptions, even though we have created several
and the information is present in the NotificationWorkflowNSMain
database.

I am working with the Notification Workflow Solution Accelerator (a
solution accelerator for MOM), and I am not finding any official
support statement or guidance on running the application on a
clustered SQL instance, and have found conflicting claims of support
in the MS newsgroups. Since this app is based on SQL Notification
Survices, which is cluster-capable to my knowledge, I wanted to
determine if this application is capable of running successsfully on
a clustered SQL instance. Thus far, we have been unable to make it
do so

In the interest of the best use of our time, clarification would be
most appreciated.

This post from an MS resource implies support for named and
clustered SQL

instances:

This post from a supposed former MS resource claims it is
unsupported:

Any thoughts or official stance would be most appreciated.
