I have not dealt with 2000 version much, but with a lot of what NS is built
on is XML, so case matters, have you tried to make sure your code is the
same case? I have seen issues with SQL 2005 when it is not properly
registered. You may want to try to nscontrol unregister -n <instance> then
register nscontrol register -n <instance> -s <server>.
