hi yannis

you could make use of the distibutor logging and LogNotificationText
option although it does greatly increase the load on the distributor
server. when switched on to log all notifications this will give you
the full notification formatted html body in the NSDistributionLog
table. you could then have a small sql-agent job which extract these
regularly  and store them in a long term archive (ns will want to
vacuum them now and then). to decide what to extract then you can just
look at the last batch-no.

<ApplicationExecutionSettings>
   ...
   <DistributorLogging>
      <LogBeforeDeliveryAttempts>true</LogBeforeDeliveryAttempts>
      <LogStatusInfo>true</LogStatusInfo>
      <LogNotificationText>true</LogNotificationText>
   </DistributorLogging>
   ...
</ApplicationExecutionSettings>

you would still have the message in digest-form but you would not have
to expend a lot of effort.
