I assume this uses a back-end database of some kind.  If we really need a 
separate web forum, then why can't such posts be stored in this database 
*and* posted to NNTP by the interface?  Searching and tracking can be done 
in the database -- of course this only counts for those that use the web 
interface, but you're missing the NNTP posters now anyway.  At least there 
won't be this massive segregation of threads and multiple conversations 
being discussed in different forums at the same time.
