what key am I missing The fact that DW will actually expect (require?) that you understand both HTML and CSS to become adept at its use. This means that you will have to be able to use Design view as a confirmatory device, not as a primary layout tool. I'm trying to duplicate and move it by option clicking and getting nowhere. This is a symptom of relying on Design view. If you were in code view, you'd just select the code, copy and paste. But try this. Click in the div. on the Tag selector at the bottom of the document pane, click on the right-most <div> tag. Copy. Place the insertion point somewhere else in Design view. Paste. That should work. Perhaps it already HAS worked and you are being confused by the way the page is being rendered once you paste? Is this div absolutely positioned, by chance? -- Murray --- ICQ 71997575 Adobe Community Expert (If you *MUST* email me, don't LAUGH when you do so!) ================== http://www.projectseven.com/go - DW FAQs, Tutorials & Resources http://www.dwfaq.com - DW FAQs, Tutorials & Resources =================="DavidAKall" <webforumsuser@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx> wrote in message news:g6qp16$t05$1@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx I'm a GoLive user and loved the interface. DW is frustrating me to no end. What key am I missing. I have a div in the page and I'm trying to duplicate and move it by option clicking and getting nowhere. I have a Mac. I also tried tocut and paste it twice but got nowhere too. I really wish they would have dropped DW and gone to what they had createdwith GoLive (I'm sure there are many others like me) but they haven't so I needthe key. Any and all help is appreciated.
