Background problems

I'm using Dreamweaver 8 and I needed to get a page up quick so i started with 
one of the CSS page designs and worked off of that. So the problem is that even 
though on DW everything is in order, the cells are sized correctly and 
everything, but when I look at the page in my browser the text continues off 
the white background and onto my background image. 

 I'll try and get a screenshot up here soon to help better explain.
