Yessss, the clean script helped. I reinstalled DW CS3 after cleaning. 
 Reactivation was a drag, online reac did not work, phone line either. 
 In the end I paid 20 bucks for a crack for my regularly paid program :-), life 
is funny.
  Now it seems to work fine, at least it did for a whole day!!
