In Design split window, I cannot see images or anything

In the Design split window, I cannot see images or anything, just a white area.

 When going to the website, the page loads fine, I was able to see image within 
the design window, so the code is good, but still it is not visible within 
Dreamweaver design view.  I need to be able to see this image and page within 
the design side so I can continue working.

 Any suggestions?
 I have looked through the forum and found one thread, but they said to check 
 view>style rendering> display styles
 which is checked.

 Anything else anyone could think of to assist with?
