I like to save user data to a file on the user's hard disk. On Macintosh: Mac HD:Users:<username>:Library:Application Support:<publisher>:<project>:<filename>.txt On Windows: C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Local Settings\Application Data\<publisher>\<project>\<filename>.txt This works equally well whether the application is launched from the user's hard disk, or from a read-only disk such as a CD-ROM. |
