EyeToy algorithm ?

Is it possible to utilize a Webcam and add up visual interactivity into 
Director projector like how Sony made EyeToy?
 I found article of Intel's Open Computer Vision Library and learning it. But 
it seems like no help at the moment.
 Does anyone have a solution or opinion?
