You will need to find out, from whoever knows this information, how that 
black box program is meant to communicate with the outside world. Does 
it write info to a database, does it save a text file, does it write to 
the registry, etc.  If the program does not communicate with the outside 
world, then there is no obvious way for it to communicate with your 
program.  If there is some sort of API that you can use to get the info 
you need, then you would need to find out from the documentation that it 
came with or from the developer.
