How to avoid CD-player sleep mode for immediate respons of navigation buttons?

When a Director movie, distributed on a CD, contains various navigation buttons 
(two states buttons - for normal and for mouse over) there is an annoying delay 
in the respons of the buttons because the CD player goes into sleep mode after 
a while and needs to start up when mouse over.

 Is there a way to always get immediate respons of the buttons with a Lingo 
command?
