Well, U know what? Can't ALWAYS please everyone. Since Apple is moving EVERYTHING hardware-wise to the Intel platform this was a wise move from Adobe. Maybe developing a backwards compatible Director was just too much and I think we should all be just happy that they didn't just kill Director but came out with a new version and better support for the latest stuff such as Flash video. On multiprocessor Intel machines (which is where all Msc Pro's are going, since their customer base for those Desktops are all video and graphics pros, everyone else nowadays wants a laptop) Director 11 should be blazing fast. The old tech just wouldn't cut it. Sorry guys with all your old PPC macs. |
