Flash Files are HUGE when imported

I have a Flash file (SWF) that is 177KB.
When I import this into Director, it makes my Director file 1 Meg
bigger...
That's more than 5x the size of the of the SWF file.

Am I doing something wrong? Does anyone have any suggestions to
prevent this?
