:mad; re: CS3 Web Premium - full install
None of the conventional methods of managing toolbars in MS Word (and other MS
Products) seems to work in eradicating the unwanted Contribute (and to some
degree, Acrobat) toolbars:
/view/toolbars/ - deselect contribute toolbar
/tools/customise - deselect contribute toolbar
/tools/customise - drag contribute tools from contribute toolbar until
empty
All the above appear to work, yet the original Contribute toolbar is present
again (taking up precious space and throwing toolbars in disarray) the next
time Word (Excel, Outlook, etc) is loaded.
When dragging contribute tools from contribute toolbar there is a confirmation
screen regarding changes to ContributeWordUITemplate.dot - yet i can't find
this template to remove or edit it.
Furthermore, what options do i have to remove the Contribute and Acrobat menus
from the main menu bar in Word?
Any application that overrides standard procedures to prevent itself from
being removed is a Trojan Horse as far as I am concerned. This practice is
worse than arrogance, it is malicious.
Has anyone managed to eradicate these?
