ColdFusion MX7 Verity Problems

Having a problem hope someone can help me.

 Verity does not seem to be working, or linking, correctly to ColdFusion for 
some reason.  Whenever I go into the Verity Collections tab I see the following 
message.

 [Q]Unable to retrieve collections from the Search Service.
 Please verify that the ColdFusion MX Search Server is installed and running. 
[/Q]

 I found the knowledgebase article that mentions an IPv6 problem, not the case 
here, IPv6 isn't running or possibly corrupt collections.  This is a pretty new 
install and no collections have been set.

 I also do not see the option for "Verity K2 Server" under Data & Services.

 Any ideas?
