Problem connecting to Database - Invalid string or buffer length

I can't connect to the DataSource I created in ColdFusion ... I am using CF 
ODBC Socket to get to a valid ODBC datasource (this same datasource is used by 
other applications, and it works fine).  The error I am getting is

  Error Executing Database Query.
 [Macromedia][SequeLink JDBC Driver][ODBC Socket][Informix][Informix ODBC 
Driver]Invalid string or buffer length.

 Anybody know how I can fix this???? :confused;
