Dual sites and dbs

CF7 Standard. We've created 2 similar codebases on one server under virtual 
domains. We have 2 sets of tables (1 for each ) but different names and PWs. We 
can see that CF connects to all tables. It appears that when 1 subdomain 
connects to it's data sources, it affects how the other connects, as well... in 
effect creating 2 sites feeding 1 db, when we should have 2 and independent 
dbs. Help
