I've just had similar... this is what worked for me... it might not always be 
the case though.

 1. Delete Coldfusion DSN
 2. Delete ODBC DSN
 3. Restart CF ODBC Server and Agent Services
 4. Re-add Coldfusion DSN
 5. Re-Add ODBC DSN
