ODBC error in CF8

I am moving our site over to a new CF8 box. I needed to recreate an ODBC 
datasource -

 Has anyone had problems setting up data sources in CF8?

 I am moving over and need to set up an ODBC connection.  I installed the ODBC 
driver  (Data Direct 4.1) that I have on the CF7, configure it as a system DSN 
(windows ODBC), configure an ODBC socket connection in cf Admin with the same 
settings as on the CF7 server and I get this error.

 Connection verification failed for data source: commerce
 java.sql.SQLException: [Macromedia][SequeLink JDBC Driver][ODBC 
Socket][DataDirect][ODBC PROGRESS driver]Insufficient information to connect to 
the data source.
 The root cause was that: java.sql.SQLException: [Macromedia][SequeLink JDBC 
Driver][ODBC Socket][DataDirect][ODBC PROGRESS driver]Insufficient information 
to connect to the data source.


 The DSN set up through the driver on the server connects to the db.  But the 
configuration with in the CF8 Admin fails.

 Any advice appreciated.
