If it's "trivial to implement a back door" into open source software?
{ First off I don't believe it "trivial task" t pull off }
Then think just how easy it is to add "special effects" to close source
and/or priority software where you cannot check the source code!!!
OR
How would you ever tell if the software was/is only doing what the
specs called for and nothing else?
And please don't try to tell me that there is no such worry just
because some (commercial) vendor is involved, as they are in reality
just looking out for themselves and there bottom line.
IOW
Your point is meaning less and in fact tends to make "open source"
look to be the better choice.
