Here's another vote for LVS loadbalancers. Get two simple linux  
machines running, and set up keepalived. It's packaged for Debian, and  
includes loadbalancing, active checks of your HTTP servers and  
failover (including state information) to a secondary loadbalancer in  
case of problems with the first.
