and it tells me that I can d/l Legato at 

  ftp://test8.legato.com/pub/Unsupported/Linux_Client/

This URL is dead and the correct one should be

  ftp://ftp.legato.com/pub/NetWorker/Unix/6.1.3/nw_linux86.tar.gz

or

  ftp://ftp.legato.com/pub/NetWorker/Unix/
