Windows\System32\config\System Message Useing xp Pro

Hi All

Very Peaed off today after my Toshiba m70 Laptop
with xp pro installed Wont start up A File is Missing or Corrupt 
\windows\Sy32\Config\ Not Happy with Laptop
or Toshiba Also Don't Have Start-up Disc

I have had Toshiba for 10 yrs  NOT VERY IMPRESSED WITH Toshiba  as they 
don't seem to Care About there Customers & it will take 30 days for new disc 
& £22.31

What do I do as i need a  laptop or can anybody Point me
in the right direction
