The build succeeded and I am able to get some X11-windows open. But
haven't tested this very much.
Your log shows syntax errors reported by /bin/sh. Did you set
CONFIG_SHELL to bash before configuring?
No, I had not. I'll rebuild like that. I normally use tcsh, but the
scripts should I assume be executed with /bin/sh.
