Depends on your use case -- I find it simple and easy-to-use without
either creating gazillions of files or needing some complex database to
maintain. Also, it is pretty much compatible with thunderbird which is
nice since it allows me to use it on the odd occassion when I need some
pretty formatting or other eye-candy functionality.
Now if I were an ISP or a large corporate employer, I would presumably
not use mbox... but then again I probably wouldn't be using vm either...
