No idea about that. GNU project folks are well-known for deprecating man
pages. I go by the reference manual
<http://www.gnu.org/software/bash/manual/bashref.html>. That's the manual I
use for reference. Being the reference manual, I figure that's the
specification for how the code is supposed to work.
