About:
xmms-crossfade is an output plugin for XMMS. Its main feature is automatic
crossfading. It also removes the gaps between tracks, to play whole MP3
albums without any audible interruption. xmms-crossfade supports OSS via a
builtin driver, and any other platform by using existing output plugins. As
of version 0.3.9, the Audacious and BMP players are also supported.
Changes:
Support for the Beep Media Player and Audacious players was added. Patches
were added for supported players. These patches provide hooks for
XMMS-crossfade, which are used for querying information about the current
state of XMMS. With this information, it is possible to provide more
reliable songchange detection, which should fix broken crossfades when
playing songs from slow media. This should also fix the segfault-on-exit
bug that many users have been encountering. Finally, XMMS-crossfade should
now compile using GCC4.
