Placebo, perhaps. I appreciate the speed up of readahead.
I boot in 35 seconds (gdm login) ! Just disable rhgb and suppress
unneeded (for me) services. I also add other services (apache,
postgresql, named, squid).
Athon xp 1600. IDE drive.
