Last night I installed the July 28 amd64 snap on my desktop.
The ahci driver made the machine panic via an assert after probing both the
disks attached to it:
panic: kernel diagnostic assertion "ccb->ccb_xa.state == ATA_S_ONCHIP" failed:
file "/usr/src/sys/dev/pci/ahci.c", line 1794
This failure didn't happen when I was installing via bsd.rd being pxebooted.
Changing the mode of my sata card from ahci to ide, and disabling ahci in the
kernel allow the machine to run properly. dmesg follows dump.
