Hey Reyk,

When I first saw this, my eyes went wide and I thought, "No friggin' way."

Subject: ath diff for testing: fix PCI-E support and a few chipsets

The following diff is an attempt to fix the following chipsets, most
        of them are PCI-E based:

                - AR5414, AR5424, AR2414, AR2524 (experimental)

Well, I immediately through it onto my source tree to see if it would
work. Lo, and behold, it does! At least, for right now, it is working
okay for:

OpenBSD 4.4-beta (GENERIC.MP) #7: Tue Jul 29 13:34:43 CDT 2008
    root@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx:/usr/src/sys/arch/i386/compile/GENERIC.MP
..
bios0: vendor Apple Computer, Inc. version "MBP12.88Z.0061.B03.0610121334" date
10/12/06
bios0: Apple Computer, Inc. MacBookPro1,2
..
ath0 at pci3 dev 0 function 0 "Atheros AR5424" rev 0x01: apic 2 int 17 (irq 11)
ath0: AR5424 10.3 phy 6.1 rf 10.2, WOR5_ETSIC, address 00:17:f2:50:dd:64

I hope this helps!
