I didn't realize that "beta 5" and "current" were the same thing. Or at
least they seem to be.

Anyway, I grabbed current and tried to cross build for the vax on a linux
machine, as I usually do.

It chugged away nicely until it got to this:

..
# link rump_cd9660/rump_cd9660
/files1/netbsd/NetBSD-current/src/release-4/tooldir/bin/vax--netbsdelf-gcc -B/\

mp_cd9660 mount_cd9660.o rump_cd9660.o pathadj.o fattr.o -lrumpfs_cd9660 -lp2k\

/netbsd/NetBSD-current/src/release-4/destdir/vax/lib -L/files1/netbsd/NetBSD-c\
urrent/src/release-4/destdir/vax/lib -Wl,-rpath-link,/files1/netbsd/NetBSD-curr\
ent/src/release-4/destdir/vax/usr/lib -L/files1/netbsd/NetBSD-current/src/rele\

collect2: ld returned 1 exit status

This looks like a generic problem to me; the rump libs do some sort of
crazy rename (see the makefile in src/sys/rump); I just dont' know enough
to say what it means.

I did a cvs update this morning.

anyone else see this on current? any hints?
