Are you working on a Cisco?  I'm not sure how it works on a Switch, but
this is what I've done on my 7206 router:

! This sets up the inclusion of the Opt. 82 info
ip dhcp relay information option
!
! This defines the interface who's IP sould be listed as the source
rbe nasip Loopback0

The "rbe" command populates bytes 5-8 (counting from 0) of the option 82
string with the ip of the interface you specify.

You can use the 9th byte of the string to set up different classes for
each port on your switch.  You can then use that class to set up
different policies or pools.

anyone have a this option setup in their conf to pass the  switchport
info the client is connected to.. Know i have to setup stuff on the
switches.. but wanted to know the syntax for the conf..
